DENTURES
When all the teeth from the upper or lower arcade
have been lost, between 6 and 8 implants are needed
to support all the teeth. In reality, the more
implants inserted, the better the pressure we
exert upon chewing will be distributed.
In
this case the bone is insufficient in width and
we have to open up the gum to widen it and insert
8 implants in the jaw with a small incision which
is closed with loose stitches.
The
patient can have the prosthesis attached immediately.
